Time to Reveal the Secret...

So what film did we choose?

My outstandingly dynamic and dramatic team has finally chosen the film that we want to remake into a 5 minute video. I am going to tell you the best line of the whole movie and you tell me if you can guess it. Okay, ready?

"Daniel San, must talk. Walk on the road, hm? Walk on right side, safe. Walk on left side, safe. Walk middle... sooner or later SQUISH. Just like grape. Here, Karate same thing. You karate do, yes. You karate do, no. You karate do guess so. SQUISH. Like grape. Understand?"

WAIT! That's not it yet! Keep going...

"Yea, I understand."
"You ready?"
"Yea, I'm ready."
"Yes."

Keep reading. Almost there... (The suspense is great isn't it?) There are a few more exchanges of words. Blah blah blah.

"Now. Wax on left hand, Wax off right hand. Wax on. Wax off. Breath in through nose. Out da mouth."

Do you know what it is now? The KARATE KID! I can't wait to get started.

Post 19 for Art

Wow. I thought the animation in this video was very effective. Everything was clean cut and streamline allowing my eyes to move with ease as the video streamed. I also liked how simple the shapes and characters were. I never realized how striking the most effortless shapes could be.

Even with the awesome visuals there was a lot of information being thrown our for me to grasp. I had to re-watch the video in order to understand everything that was trying to be conveyed. With so many acronyms I got a little lost in the verbiage of the video. And trying to keep the facts in chronological order was a struggle.

However, it was still very interesting to see the timeline in history of the internet. This video was made about three years ago though and it is even more exciting to see the difference between 2009 and now. The internet is now used for so much more than they conveyed in the video.

Full Length into Five Minutes: Possible??

So the goal is for a group of us to be able to take a Hollywood picture and recreate the movie in 5 minutes. Crazy? Yes. Can we do it? Of course! This project is going to be semi-mind blowing, but we are going to have fun with it.

This post is dedicated to brainstorming for which awesome films to choose from. I am trying to limit the creativity to 5 feature films. There are many things to consider while brainstorming. The time of year, the time frame we have, the amount of time we can each dedicate to this creation, is it reliable to actually recreate this film...

Since its fall and starting to get colder, we don't want to do any movies that are specifically set in the sumer time or involve water (at least I am NOT jumping in).

1. James Bond: Golden Eye - A classic.
2. Fast and the Furious - What is not to love with fast cars? However, here on campus, it would have to be the Slow and Steady (not like the tortoise and the hare though!3. Star Wars - I want to be a ewok! You know the flying teddy bears?! I want to be one of those.4. Rocky - DIBS ON ROCKY!!!! Yea, I went there.

5. Ghost Busters - Yes, that was on this weekend and yes, I did watch part of it.  I still haven't seen all of it, but how can we not want to do this?!

Okay, I have one more. I know I said I would limit to only 5, however, I want to add this one too...
6. Indiana Jones - You know you have been caught humming the theme song more than once. It would be pretty funny to have the opening theme song being sung by our actors that way we don't have any problems with copy-writes.
